The Ultimate Light Source
The recent advent of white LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) has made the introduction of the new generation of lightweight, digital intraoral cameras possible.
Bright Illumination
The traditional LED camera has an unfocused light that hinders the quality of the image that it captures. All other LED cameras contain the unfocused diodes in the head of the handpiece. This causes high temperatures at the head, some as high as 106° degrees F.
Focused Illumination
SciCan's new Intra Oral ULTIMATE places the LEDs in the base of the handpiece and focuses the light through fiber optic glass rods to provide cool, soft, even light you expect from more expensive traditional fiber optic intraoral cameras.
The ULTIMATE is the only camera that combines fiber optic and LED technology into one single handpiece.
The Ultimate Image
Illuminating the oral cavity is only the first step. The ultimate objective is to provide high definition images that help your patient understand your diagnosis and recommended course of treatment. SciCan's ULTIMATE combines the advantage of a high resolution CCD imager, four lens construction and focused illumination that provides superior, clear and defined images.

Getting started is simple with the ULTIMATE camera's quick disconnect feature.
The unmatched depth of field, from 3mm to 45mm, means clear,
defined images every time.
Position the camera and click the capture button to save an image.
(There is no need for a video capture card.)

camera transports easily in a multi-op environment.

The Ultimate Flexibility
Whether your operatories are computerized

or analog (right illustration shows both front and back of smart box)
the Intra Oral ULTIMATE is plug and play.
The ULTIMATE camera system offers two smart box configurations.
The first will handle a computer set up with USB 1 or 2 and also features an analog (TV) output.
The other version of smart box is designed for an Analog system with on board memory to capture and save images without the use of a computer.
With different smart boxes, a single camera can run both a digital and an analog system in different operatories.
Just load the drivers and plug the smartbox into your computer and you are ready to begin.
